Year of Glad put out new single, donate all proceeds to Orlando LGBT organization
The blissful union of four great Philly musicians —Mimi Gallagher of Nona, Chris Diehm of Thin Lips, and Mike Bell and Biff Swenson of Mike Bell & the Movies — has culminated in another Year of Glad release, this time with the upcoming EP I Don’t Know Where I Am Either to be released in mid-July via Lame-o Records.
The band just shared first single “Keeping A Peace” and hope to bring a little peace of their own. All pre-order proceeds from the punchy track, which features Gallagher’s snarling vocals at their best, will be donated to the victims of the Pulse night club shooting in Orlando via the LGBT organization The Center.
The band released a statement of support which said, “To our friends in Orlando who are suffering, our hearts are with yours. You have supported the Philadelphia music scene for the better part of a decade through shows/floors/friendship; we are nothing without community and when others hurt, it affects us all. Thanks for listening to our music and please help if you can.”
