Grouplove announces new album and will bring its Big Mess to The Fillmore in November
Grouplove‘s festival appearances this summer mark a long-awaited return from time off as Hannah Hooper and Christian Zucconi welcomed a newborn baby. They took to the main stage at Firefly over the weekend, playing classics like “Tongue Tied” and “Ways To Go,” while also debuting a new song called “Welcome To Your Life.” It was a stellar and very interactive set, and on Monday, the band revealed a trailer video detailing their next LP Big Mess, a follow up to their 2013 sophomore album Spreading Rumours.
The video features segments of four songs off Big Mess, including the aforementioned “Welcome To Your Life,” promising it will be the first single out in July. From the short teasers heard in the video, parenthood hasn’t dulled down the creative minds of Zucconi and Hooper — just a couple seconds of each track is enough to prove that Grouplove hasn’t changed.
We’re also given some important dates at the end of the trailer. Big Mess’s release date is September 9th. And on November 1st, they’ll bring the Big Mess World Tour to the Fillmore here in Philly. Get hype, get more info at the XPN Concert Calendar and watch the trailer below.
