Love On The Streets, or more affectionately known as LOTS Fest, is “reloaded” and ready to go after being rained out in May. It’s LOTS Fest’s second year running, after debuting last year in an effort to “reimagine skateboarding in the city through art and culture.” The fest will be held on Saturday, July 9th at Paine’s Park, on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. Proceeds from the event will benefit Franklin’s Paine Skatepark Fund, which aims to “rebuild and diversify city spaces and experiences that foster the love of skateboarding and urban creativity.”

They say this make-up date is “reloaded” for good reason — it’s sure to be a fantastic day filled with LOTS to do (pun intended). There’s a skateboard competition with cash prizes totaling $2,000 thanks to Wahoo’s Tacos and Electric Factory. Distoart, Getup, and Victor Perez will have live visual art. Food and drink will be plentiful with food trucks and a beer garden. And tons of local vendors are on board to assemble a sweet flea market. Plus, it goes without saying that a day such as this would not be complete without one heck of a soundtrack.

That’s why WXPN is proud to present the Mad Dragon Stage. From noon all the way up to 9 p.m., we’ve got a killer lineup of local bands that’s been reloaded since May’s rainout. Creepoid, Steady Hands, Amanda X and Mercury Girls are just the tip of the iceberg. Scroll down to give a listen to all of the bands we have on the bill, and head to LOTS Fest’s Facebook page to find any more info you’re looking for.
