The album that many believe launched Alex G from Temple house shows to gigs all around the world is getting re-issued on Run For Cover Records. DSU (short for Dream State University) was first put out on the tiny Brooklyn label Orchid Tapes just over than two years ago.

The new release will hit the shelves on September 16th, but preorders are already underway. Once it’s out, the Havertown native will embark on a late fall US tour with LVL UP and Brandon Can’t Dance — and even a show with Courtney Barnett. All of the dates are either in the south or midwest, so don’t get your hopes for another Philly gig just yet. Still, this is all exciting news for one of our own. If you’re really missing Alex G, maybe try revisiting his Union Transfer headlining performance with Porches and Your Friend from back in April.

Listen to the original bandcamp release of DSU below, check out the tour dates and if you feel so inclined, check out the new issue on Run For Cover here.
