“Living life and living a lie / and wonder why I even bother?” Welcome to the existential dread of adulthood, Lithuania will be your guide. The Philly indie-rockers charge into oblivion on their latest effort “Holy Water,” seeking a solution to the dichotomy between an appetite for independence and a necessity to fill the voids that loneliness carves out.

With a new full-length anticipated for 2017 entitled White Reindeer, “Holy Water” is an awesome peek behind the door of what’s been going down in the studio. The song’s guitar work has a bounce to it that bursts at every verse’s end — a deliriously fun riff experiment paired with pulsing percussion. “I need a lover / I’ll never find another,” and  “yeah it’s so hard to be alone / and I’m not sure if I’ve got the patience anymore” sing out the social anxieties of being totally and desperately on your own when society insists you must be otherwise.

Lithuania is playing on September 30th at Everybody Hits with PinkwashLoose Tooth, and Slow Mass. For more information on the show, check out the Facebook event page.
