Chi-Town’s Yeesh bring their Confirmation Bias to Philly this weekend
Chicago trio Yeesh is rolling through town this weekend in support of Confirmation Bias, a sophomore LP released last month on Tiny Engines. Fans of local acts Mumblr and Left & Right will certainly find something to dig among the emo-tinged, grunge-influenced songs (and the latter will join them at Everybody Hits on Saturday).
This effort, coming just over a year after Yeesh’s debut No Problem, is a balancing act of fast playing, heavy lyrics and ear-catching guitar licks. The energy and hooks will pull you in (especially on standouts “Limbo District” and “End Results”) but you’ll stay for the probing lyrics that translate the frustrations of the day into digestible and much-needed moments of physical release.
