Tegan and Sara release enchanting animated music video, headline The Fillmore in November

Power pop sister duo Tegan and Sara teleport us to a whimsical cartoon dimension in their latest music video for the song “Hang on to the Night,” off of June’s Love You to Death, the group’s eighth studio album.

Directed by BoJack Horseman producer Lisa Hanawalt and animated by Nicole Stafford, the video follows a half horse, half human creature as it takes on the night. Planting stars in the sky and traveling about with a band of colorful, bubbly creatures, the video creates a warm, bedtime story energy. At times strange, (a la the leaf woman twerking on a stallion) and others endearing (cats fall in love and shoot into the sky to become stars) “Hang on to the Night” is the perfect soundtrack to the mystical beings evening out.
