If you were at last week’s Free at Noon, you know how special The Stray Birds are. You also know, then, that the former trio is now a quartet with the addition of drummer Dominic Billett (previously of Toy Soldiers). With the Free at Noon and a set at last weekend’s Folk Fest, the Lancaster outfit has been celebrating the release of their new Magic Fire LP in style and the party gets even better with the video for album standout “Third Day In a Row.”

The clip follows three kids through wooded paths, onto the bank of a river and past the verdant landscape of Lancaster in an homage to where the bandmates got their start. Maya de Vittry tells American Songwriter:

“The filming began on the road with the band in upstate New York and Brooklyn, but to capture the spirit of where the band comes from, filmmaker Jacob Blumberg came to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania…. Colliding generations, these kids are walking the very same streets of Marietta, Pennsylvania, the little river town where Oliver and I first played open mics together back in 2010. Around that time, I would occasionally babysit Sylvie, who is now the ‘kid’ version of me in this video.”
