York indie pop trio Younger Me has been teasing its latest record with a string of singles, including “We Will Never Wash Away” and “So Long.” As the band’s Brandt Imhoff tells us, it’s still up in the air whether any of these song will actually make it onto the album, but today the band is back with its third new song since the spring, called “Bubbles.”

It’s a synthesizer driven song with a soaring melody and a fine pop gait, and it’s a self-conscious dedication to the band’s true believers: “Here’s to you for believing in me. That I could be something bigger than nothing. / I hope that I have made you proud. I’m not so sure.”

Says Imhoff:

None of us get through life without the support of our brothers and sisters. In the end we hope that we live a life that makes others proud though we are always unsure of ourselves, we can always do more.

The band performs live tomorrow night at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster with Diet Cig, Kississippi and Ian Sweet. Tickets and more information on the all-ages show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
