1967 – The Beatles record various parts for the new John Lennon song “I Am the Walrus” and the new Paul McCartney song “Fool On The Hill.”

1973 – Rolling Stone magazine reports that Carlos Santana has changed his name to Devadip now that he is a disciple of Sri Chinmoy.

2011 – Tony Bennett becomes the oldest living person to top the US album chart when the 85-year-old’s Duets II goes to #1. The record, which features collaborations with Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga, is also his first US #1 in his 60 year career.
