After releasing their first self-titled EP via Broken World Media last year, Lancaster’s Spill are movin’ on up to No Sleep Records (Balance and Composure, The Wonder Years) for their forthcoming debut full-length. Top Ten is set for release on December 16th, and Brooklyn Vegan has premiered the album’s lead single “Can’t Keep Cool.”

The 90s indie rock vibes we dug on the EP are carried through to the new track, with a ringing guitar riff surrounded by loosely thrashing percussion and a sing-a-long-ready chorus. About the song and album, singer/songwriter Brandon Gepfer tells Brooklyn Vegan:

“‘Can’t Keep Cool’ is about being kinda poor but having enough money to get wasted at a pool party and suppressing your feelings and doing stupid shit to yourself and almost dying in a pool and waking up naked and asking God why the fuck you ever landed here in Pennsylvania. Top Ten is about writing the best ten songs the world has ever listened to.”

Spill play the Chameleon Club in Lancaster on October 25th; tickets and information for the all-ages show can be found here. Listen to “Can’t Keep Cool” over on Brooklyn Vegan and revisit the band’s 2015 Key Studio Session below. A pre-order for Top Ten is up here.
