Coming out of the damp and sweaty undergrounds of a Philly basement, indie rockers Cave People released a new video for “Sinning Tree”, off of the band’s recent full length of the same name.

The video takes lead vocalist Dave Tomaine on a journey through the Pennsylvania wilderness, experiencing trolls cornering the seed market, struggling to plant said seed, all ending in a symbolic planting of himself, giving a quite literal meaning to the song’s lyrics of “I name you everything grown so deep inside of me.” Cave People’s simplistic yet raw approach to indie rock has made them promising players in Philadelphia’s always exciting DIY scene, and this video (filmed by Key contributor Jeremy Zimmerman) hopes to propel them to the next level.

Watch the video below, and be sure to check out the band’s debut LP Sinning Tree on Stereophonodon Records.
