The Rentiers share nearly all of their recordings on Bring me the Finest World Map Shower Curtain in all the Land
Like many great punk songs, the career of local “pseupergroup” The Rentiers was a quick blitz of energy. From 2014 through 2016 local musician Joel Tannenbaum led a rotating cast of bandmates through the cycles of recording music and playing shows, producing an excellent debut EP in Here Is a List of Things That Exist and a solid string of singles like their later release “The Early 2000s.”
Across the discography, which is now collected in one 17-track digital space called Bring me the Finest World Map Shower Curtain in all the Land, Tannenbaum filtered his experience with punk bands like Plow United through ultra-clever college rock lyrics and a delivery that had the conversational DIY-ness of anti-folk acts around the edges.
