Watch Weller worry about how good they look in sunglasses in “Lemons”
Basement dwellers Weller popped up with a brand-new music video for their single “Lemons” from their split with Pittsburgh’s Rue.
The lighthearted video finds the band being their goofy selves in a monochrome world, while singer Harrison Nantz explores the city as x-ray like glasses guides him to the realization of the tune’s hook: Don’t let your demons ever grow old. The band’s subtle suave nature of a calmed vocalist shields from the true anxiety of worry from the past and the constant struggle to combat them, a true allegory of millennial’s constant struggle to “never be good enough.” “Lemons” hints at the final conclusion of this power-pop Tic Tac; stuff happens, don’t let it get to you.
Watch the video below, and if you like what you hear, head to the world infamous JJ’s Diner on April 22nd as the band gigs out with Queen Moo, Ragged Lines, American Lions, and Beach Bod (more information at the show’s Facebook event page).
