Cayetana reflects on uncertainty and doubt in new single, “Certain for Miles”
Cayetana’s been sharing much good news lately, and today there’s even more. They band just released their new single, “Certain for Miles,” which should hopefully keep fans slightly more sated until the release of album, New Kind of Normal, because it’s one heck of a jam.
With opening lines confessing “I always seem to doubt / what everyone seems so certain about,” the song continues to meditate on the universal feeling of uncertainty, and thinking that everyone else has it all figured out. The honest and introspective lyrics are impeccably quotable, with later building-in-intensity lines questioning: “When the world bears down on me / will I laugh at its audacity?” Anthemic in sound, this jam will be a beauty to see performed live, when the crowd will most definitely build upon these verses with a collective voice.
Cayetana will be having a record release show at First Unitarian Church on May 5th alongside Katie Ellen, Shannen Moser, and Aster More. I can tell ya right now that is a thing you should not be missing because it will be oodles of fun. Find more info here and listen to the new single, “Certain For Miles” below.
