Pet Cheetah injects some groove into new track “Open Up”

Unconventional four-piece Pet Cheetah just put out their 2nd ever single “Open Up”. Their blend of upbeat indie rock and folk instrumentation comes together in foot-tapping fashion, as “Open Up” takes 5-minutes to dance between string-based hooks and John Mayer-like intensity.

It’s damn difficult not to move to this song, and while 2016’s “Wake Up” focuses on tip-toeing guitars, the manic back section gives the track an almost Latin vibe to the music, grooving seamlessly. I’ve gotta give it to PC; I’ve yet to hear a sound like them from this city, so they’ve got to be doing something special.
