Vita and the Woolf channels Radiohead and James Blake in new track, “Sun Drop”
My goodness, the spooky jams just keep rolling in from Vita and the Woolf. The electro-pop duo just released a new song, “Sun Drop,” and despite it’s light-filled name suggests, is a dark and eerie, powerful track.
Front lady, Jennifer Pague, completely commands the song with her confident, otherworldly vocals from the first ominous synth line to the last. In an interview with Impose Magazine, Pague cites James Blake and Radiohead as influences for the track, which are heard in “Sun Drop”‘s large, expansive rock sound and the building bass synth drops.
If you can’t make the trip out to Delaware to see Vita and the Woolf wow Firefly Music Festival this June, you can still catch the duo when they play the XPN Local Stage at this year’s Philadelphia Folk Fest in August. Find more details on their set at the XPN Concert Calendar, then listen to “Sun Drop” below.
