Listen to Palm’s weird and wild new single “Shadow Expert”

East coast experimentalists Palm took up partial residence in Philly a while back, and are gearing up to release their latest collection, the Shadow Expert EP. It’s fast-paced and cerebral, with the singles we’ve heard from it so far being very reminiscent of cult faves Deerhoof and The Raincoats — intertwining guitar leads and frantic rhythms that break beyond the standard rock and roll 4/4, with unusual tones and textures at play.

A few weeks back, the band released the frenetic “Walkie Talkie” and this week, we have the title track of Shadow Expert for you to dig into. It’s two minutes and change of wild weirdness, and you can listen to it below.
