Music Video Book Club comes to PhilaMOCA with a plethora of Halloween spirit
Coming from its New York Comic Con stint, the Music Video Book Club continues its October run tomorrow at PhilaMOCA. Led by host Chris Cummins of Nerd Nite Philadelphia, Den of Geek, and Sci Fi Explosion, the Music Video Book club is comprised of three panelists discussing 10 of the scariest music videos ever created. With Halloween coming in a week or so, the scare factor is fitting and this event promises to kick off the weekend in Philly in the freakiest of ways.
The panelists for this edition of the Music Video Book Club include Cummins. joined by writer Rob Skvarla and Dynamite Comics’ Kevin Ketner. Half of the videos on the show will be familiar to the panelists and and the other half of the videos are a complete surprise for everyone in the room. Skvarla, Cummins, and Ketner will have put together in-depth analysis about each video’s historical relevance, freakiness, and technical prowess.
If you are not in Halloween spirit yet then definitely hit PhilaMOCA tonight and culture yourself with the most horrifying installments in the music video world. For visual reference, check out this quick trailer below. Tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door.
