Listen to Lefty’s Deceiver’s new record, celebrate their return at Boot & Saddle on Friday
You may remember Lefty’s Deceiver as a core staple of the late nineties / early 2000’s Philly indie scene, or maybe you just love some early aughts gumption, and are being introduced now; whatever the case, after a new material absence of fourteen years, Lefty’s Deceiver has returned to tune-making.
Earlier this month, the crew reappeared with cool rocker nonchalance into indie music world once more by releasing two new teaser tracks (“Our Best” and “Helena Heartbreak,”) which are noted on Bandcamp to have been recorded between 2014 and 2017. Now, the band has also shared five additions to the self-titled record, which are likewise listed as having been recorded between the years of 2013 and 2014. Coupled with the context of members having moved away or had started up new projects over the past few years, this tidbit of info suggests that maybe the stars hadn’t truly aligned for a return until now, so go and relish in the perfect present by jamming to the album below.
Then, come celebrate this milestone with the band for a very merry time at Boot & Saddle this Friday, along with support from JJL and I Think I Like Midnight. Catch info on the gig over at the XPN Concert Calendar.
