Philly DIY locals Americanadian grabbed our attention last month with their breezy infectiousness on track, “Apple Cider Vinegar.” Keeping with their penchant for fun name mashups, the band recently released an EP split with South Jersey four-piece, Nowadays, to create the perfectly dubbed, Nowacanadian.

Contributing two tracks to the EP, Americanadian’s “Carpool Tunnel” dances along with upbeat energy and dreamy background “oooh-ing” while “Ceramic Cat Plate” slows sounds down while sharpening introspective thoughts up for a revamped version of an earlier April demo. With Nowadays’ deep, warped vocal-ed fuzz following, the EP is a perfect blend of faraway escapism and in-your-face realness.

See Americanadian at PhilaMOCA on March 17th with Del SurPort LucianProf Caveman, and Chbby Bny. Find tickets to the gig and more info here. Stream the split below.
