Girlpool’s engaging chemistry does not disappoint at the First Unitarian Church

Ever since the release of Powerplant, people have been raving about the energy and sound of Girlpool full band. After waiting years to see them live, the time for me finally came during a sold out Church show this past Saturday with Palberta and a stripped down Land of Talk.

The chemistry between all the members is enough to make it a great show. The night consisted of wholesome banter about Harmony Tividad’s mother being a fulltime medium and the time that Cleo Tucker was in the New York Times. Harmony Tividad got a full Church basement to sing happy birthday to their mother and Cleo Tucker ensured Tividad wasn’t going to pass out from the heat.

Girlpool does not disappoint, and after the release of their recent single “Picturesong”, I cannot wait to see what’s next.
