What’s better than supporting an organization like the ACLU while soaking up some Brazilian funk tunes at the same time? That’s just what will be happening next week, as PhillyBloco joins the party for the second annual United We Dance benefit at World Cafe Live.

Happening Thursday, May 10, you can also expect plenty of food and drink, a DJ set and a silent auction at the benefit show. A portion of tickets sales plus all auction proceeds will benefit the ACLU of Pennsylvania.

The 23-piece ensemble PhillyBloco will provide the soundtrack to the evening — modeled after traditional Rio de Janeiro bands, the group combines musical influences from around the world, such as samba, funk and reggae, into their high-energy performances.
