Radiator Hospital, Shannen Moser, The Guests, Hurry and more will play benefit gigs at Boot & Saddle this month
As 2019 gets into full swing, Boot & Saddle will continue what’s become an annual tradition for the venue. Throughout the month of January, local bands will take the stage for two series of shows benefitting various local charities.
The third annual Peace & Noise series kicks off this weekend, with a show featuring The Guests on Saturday, Jan. 5, and continues later in the month with Radiator Hospital. The Peace & Noise shows will benefit charities including the Philadelphia Tenants Union and Decarcerate PA.
At the same time, local label Lame-O Records will present its fourth annual Rock Residency each Thursday this month, starting with Hurry on the 10th and wrapping up with The Obsessives on the 31st. These shows will also support Philadelphia charities, but the specifics will be announced closer to each show. Other artists featured in Lame-O’s residency include Philly favorites Slaughter Beach, Dog, Steady Hands, No Thank You and Shannen Moser.
