New Jersey indie rockers The Vaughns are getting ready to release their first full length album, FOMO, on May 10. The band just shared the latest single from the new record, “Shout,” which ponders the best way to get someone’s attention — as vocalist Anna Lies sings, “Do I have to shout too keep you around?”

Of the new song, Lies shared in a press release:

“‘Shout’ is this last-ditch effort of declaring love, and attempt to keep someone’s attention before moving on. Glued together by a pronounced chorus and bright guitars (I think it showcases some of Dave’s tastiest guitar work yet), we’re all really happy with how it turned out.”

Introduced by mutual friends in their hometown, the quartet of Lies, David Cacciatore, Ryan Kenter and Tom Losito formed The Vaughns in 2014. The debuted with the tomfoolery EP and have received heaps of local praise over the last few years — nj.com calls them a “NJ Band You Need To Hear.” And with a brand new record on the way, The Vaughns won’t be just a small-town Jersey band for much longer.

Catch The Vaughns live when they join us for XPN Fest on Saturday, July 27 in Wiggins Park. Find more information at xpnfest.org.
