Great Time, &More, Camp Candle are on tap for the 35th annual Molestice Festival
Every summer, the 100 block of North Mole Street in Center City is blocked off for a block party meets musical celebration. Philadelphia’s Molestice Festival has been a cultural touchstone of the community for 35 years. Since the block party’s roots, it has since expanded to include food trucks and an assortment of activities for all ages.
This year’s musical acts include Bronze Radio Return, &More, Ali Awan, Great Time, Camp Candle, Brian LaPann, and Hannah Krupa. The diverse lineup features something for every type of music fan. Headliners Bronze Radio Return are known for their upbeat, indie rock sound and songs like “Shake, Shake, Shake.” Other standouts include #XPNFest veterans &More, a melodic collaboration between Philadelphia rapper Chill Moody and singer-songwriter Donn T; the duo was just featured on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert back in April. Electro-pop duo Camp Candle is another Philadelphia group that is not to be missed; consisting of Mark “Nu Ra” Cave and Briana “Hetepsa” Mills the duo makes funky tunes fused with elements of modern hip-hop.
Molestice Festival will take place on June 22nd from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are free, but must be concert-goers must register in advance. All ages are welcome. More information can be found on the festival’s website. Listen to music from some of the Molestice bands below.
