We don’t say it enough, but Eve is a Philly legend. “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and “Rich Girl” belong in the history books. Perhaps the reason we don’t always give Eve her dues is because after the early 2000’s, she got quiet. Label issues, album delays, and a spot co-hosting The Talk kept her from releasing music at the rate she did at the beginning of her career. With her latest single, “Reload”, the Philly rapper may be looking to reclaim her legacy.

“Reload” is Eve’s first new music since the release of her long-delayed 2013 album Lip Lock. The track is a wildly fun island banger. With help from Jamaican artist Konshens, Eve blends her ferocious bars with a dancehall beat and infectious chorus. After just one listen you’ll have “I’m not tryna reloooooaaadd” repeating in your head for hours.

There is no word yet on if “Reload” will be featured on a larger upcoming project, but we don’t want to be too greedy. Eve is back and that’s all that matters!

Listen to “Reload” below.
