Earlier this week, Signals Midwest, the indie rock outfit fronted by Philadelphia’s Max Stern, announced that their new album Pin will come out August 2nd on Tiny Engines. The band originally formed in Cleveland, and they have now been recording music together for more than ten years; their first Bandcamp release was Burn the Blueprints in 2009, and their most recent was At This Age in 2016.

Last month the band released “Your New Old Apartment”, the first single from Pin and a humble tribute to awkward adulthood. Check out the new track below, as well as a video of singer and guitarist Stern performing the song solo in Australia last year for the Extended Family live series in Melbourne.

A recent Facebook post also listed dates that Signals Midwest will be playing around the US beginning in August — they’ll visit Everybody Hits in Northern Liberties on September 15th. Pin comes out August 2nd on Tiny Engines.
