There’s an energy that’s unique to a Lizzo show. The crowds are louder, they scream longer, they’re on their feet the entire time, even in a seated venue like The Met Philly. If you could bottle that feeling up, people would buy at the merch table — Lizzo Juice, perhaps?

Watching the Minneapolis-via-Houston artist’s ascent from hard-working rapper to pop superstar in recent years — and over the past six months in particular — has been nothing short of astonishing, and last night she emerged from a pulpit set up at center stage, decked out in a pastor’s robe, and held the packed-house sold-out crowd at The Met in the palm of her hand.

It was Lizzo’s third visit to Philadelphia since the release of her breakout album Cuz I Love You, it was her first since earning her first Billboard number-one with “Truth Hurts,” and the emotion in the room was massive, from an opening set by Ari Lennox to the show-closing “Juice.” Check out a gallery of photos from the concert below.
