Things you might see at a Tyler, the Creator concert: gold hair and gold chains. An iridescent blue two-piece suit that gets progressively more disheveled as the night goes on. A person holding a mic, doing high-kicks and spins, moving deftly between so many bursts of actual fire. A quick breather as they sit on a piano stool to plunk out the introduction to the mega-banger “Earfquake,” then leaping to their feet when the beat drops.

Last night, Tyler The Creator headlined The Mann Center’s skyline stage on tour in support of his fifth album, IGOR, one of the year’s absolute best. The crisp autumn air paired impeccably with the heat and high energy coming from stage, both from Tyler and opener Jaden Smith alike.
