Orion Sun talks Billie Holiday, songwriting, goals, and writes a song on the fly in new Urban Outfitters video
Philly’s Orion Sun sat down with the folks at Urban Outfitters recently for a special Valentine’s Day episode of their YouTube series “Open Up.” Drawing from a heart-shaped box of questions, the singer/songwriter/producer talks about her favorite Billie Holiday love song, the satisfaction of knowing when a song is finished, and her goals for 2020. She also talks about the making of her most recent music video, writes an off-the-cuff love song, and plays a quick game of M.A.S.H. Watch the video below.
Orion Sun will release her full-length debut album Hold Space for Me on March 27, and has shared two singles from the record, “Ne Me Quitte Pas” and “Coffee for Dinner.” On Instagram, she writes that the album is “a documentation of my healing process” that sees her reflecting on past traumas, old friendships, and finding love. Pre-order the album here.
Orion Sun tours North America this spring, and plays a hometown show at Johnny Brenda’s on April 25. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
