The Dover, Delaware megafestival Firefly has called off its 2020 event.

Rage Against The Machine, Billie Eilish, Maggie Rogers, The Districts and more were slated to play the June festival for what would have been Firefly’s ninth annual year. But due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the event is being called off, with no postponement date.

“We take the safety and health of our fans, staff, and community seriously,” says a statement from the festival. “We are deeply disappointed by this difficult decision, one that impacts our fans and our incredible team of performers, crew, vendors & our community in Dover, Delaware.”

The announcement ends on an optimistic note, promising that there will be music and dancing in the Woodlands in summer of 2021, and ticket holders are given the option of receiving a refund or applying their ticket purchase to next summer’s festival.
