Due to the coronavirus, West Philly Porchfest, originally scheduled for early June, is now on hold. 2020 marks the fifth year for the do-it-yourself community music festival, which has become a much-anticipated annual tradition. No new date has been shared yet, but the Porchfest organizers remain optimistic that they will be able to hold the event later this year, as soon as it is safe to do so.

The organizers shared in an email:

Our hope is that this year’s Porchfest – whenever it happens – will serve as a great community-wide celebration of collectively conquering COVID-19! It will be a chance for people in the neighborhood to come out and have an incredible day of not only music, but re-connection with friends and neighbors celebrating being together. We think it is going to be a memorable celebration and we are looking forward to helping all of you porch people put it together.

West Philly Porchfest will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates. Stay tuned to the West Philly Porchfest Facebook page and westphillyporchfest.com for more information.
