This week find comfort in a wonderful batch of new albums just released, including Reunions from Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. The band sounds more cohesive, the album is produced beautifully, and once again Isbell’s honestly and transparency in his songwriting makes him as endearing as ever. Speaking of endearing, get lost in the new album, Sorceress, from LA singer-songwriter Jess Williamson – it’s gorgeous. Moses Sumney completes the release of his grae album with Part 2 out today. Also this week, there’s plenty of beauty and innovative sounds in new records from Nick Hakim, Perfume Genius, and Thao & the Get Down Stay Down. On the local front, check out The Gate from Philly’s American Trappist. And for some fun familiarity, check out the lastest from both Sparks and The Magnetic Fields, who use brevity to their benefit. #PressPlay & Enjoy!
