With their newly released rendition of “Aten Impaled,” Upholstery proves that it’s entirely possible to record a song while practicing social distancing — and the unusual process makes for the perfect excuse to have some fun.

The local experimental rock outfit decided to get creative during quarantine, and collaborated on the “Corona Edition” of the song by filming a video from each of their separate homes. At first, the video may remind you of your typical Zoom call, but quickly becomes more theatrically offbeat than most of our virtual gatherings with friends or coworkers.

“Aten Impaled” is off Upholstery’s most recent album INGA, and they played it during their Key Studio Session last year. Watch the video below.
