London-based singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas will release her self-titled, self-produced album this coming Friday, July 17. To celebrate this album release, NPR Music will be hosting a listening party for the new album, hosted by World Cafe‘s Raina Douris.

The listening party will begin at 2pm ET on Friday, and will feature not only a play-through of La Havas’ new album, but a conversation with NPR Music’s Suraya Mohamed and with Lianne La Havas herself. Listeners in the chat room can ask questions to the artist, or generally show their support.

The self-titled album is La Havas’ first LP in five years. She toured extensively after the release of 2015’s Blood, supporting acts like Coldplay and Alicia Keys, and more recently recording a Tiny Desk (Home) Concert for NPR. Earlier this year, she released the album’s lead single, “Bittersweet.” Back in May, in conjunction with the album announcement, La Havas released second single “Paper Thin,” which she says “started as a distant melody in my head as I was falling asleep that I decided not to sleep on.”

RSVP for the event here via NPR Presents, and watch the live listening party and conversation here via YouTube.
