As indie rocker and multi-instrumentalist Kirby Sybert gears up to release his debut solo LP, Happy People Make Happy Things, on August 7, he virtually dropped by the 25 O’Clock podcast studio to talk with host Dan Drago about pandemic life and the upcoming album.

Drago and Sybert existed within the same musical circles, but the podcast episode was their first full conversation. They talk at great length about the upcoming LP: the process of putting it together, facing his limitations, and using the connections he forged in previous collaborations to help put together this solo record. Sybert also talks about pandemic isolation and how this is the longest he can remember being home, and touring with Mo Lowda & the Humble, first as a cameraperson and then as a guitarist.
