Josue Lora and Nota G are shipwrecked in heartache on new single “Náufrago”
Trenton artists Josue Lora and Nota G, the vocalists at the front of the Latin rap duo Agudos Clef, have been reinventing themselves as solo artists in recent years, and expanding their sound along with it. The duo’s latest collaborative single “Náufrago” finds them relaxing into bright, sunny rhythms and electronic pop textures reminiscent of reggaeton and trap, while lyrically they share feelings about an unattainable romance.
The song finds Lora singing about being in deeply love with somebody is is already in a relationship, a situation he describes as “perdido en le abismo” (“lost in the abyss”), pining over the person in the hopes that “nada es pa siempre” (“nothing is forever”) and building a hook out of obsession: “De aqui pa aya / De aya pa qua / Tu movimiento hipnotiza / Sencillamente complicada” (“from here to there / from there to here / your movement hypnotizes / simply complicated”).
