Michaela Anne would have joined us on the Camden Waterfront for this year’s XPN Fest, but the Nashville based singer-songwriter still contributed a virtual, and admittedly less sweaty, performance from her basement home studio. She’s joined by Lauren Balthrop on keys and Kristin Weber on fiddle, along with one live audience member — her cat, Leroy.

This was the first time Michaela and her band have played together since quarantine began, but you wouldn’t know it. The trio played several songs off Michaela Anne’s most recent full length album, 2019’s Desert Dove, as well as the particularly apt new song “Good Times,” which she recently released as a single but wrote a long time ago “as a way to keep the faith when times got tough.”
