Singer-songwriter Dan Campbell, known for his work with The Wonder Years and Aaron West and The Roaring Twenties, just released his first solo single, “When I Face Into The Wind.”

Campbell began working on his solo material back at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to add purpose and structure to the endless quarantine days. As someone who has always had a knack for storytelling, Campbell began writing songs that told the stories of real people and the details of their lives.

“I got really attached,” Campbell says of the particular story that inspired this song. “Two people fell in love, first in the summer on train bridge, and then in the winter in an abandoned schoolhouse, and finally at a place of their own with their daughter.”

“When I Face Into The Wind” features Ace Enders on keys, Daniel Radin on bass and guitar, Kristine Kruta on cello, Maria Im on violin, Joe Junod on trumpet, and vocals by Robin Gazzara. Watch the lyric video below.
