Rosali will return with her third full-length album, No Medium, this spring. The emotional record finds the Philly-rooted singer-songwriter exploring a range of heavy topics, from loss to self-sabotage to addiction, balanced by a lightness of sound. The first single “Mouth” is out now.

Rosali spent two weeks in January 2019 alone in the hills of South Carolina, writing most of the songs that appear on the album in a solitude that allowed her to be vulnerable. Members of the Omaha-based David Nance Group lend rich instrumentation as Rosali’s backing band on the record.

“I imagine confidently walking away from the past, toward a new approach to love and intimacy to achieve a closer relationship with myself,” Rosali says in a press release of her inspiration behind “Mouth.”

On her experience writing the record, Rosali says, “I approach guitar playing the same intuitive way I sing, which is profoundly spiritual for me. Where words fail, the guitar becomes the conduit for raw feelings, providing a direct connection to them. I’m constantly working on being fearless in my work, which means showing the rough side, the mistakes along with the triumphs.”

No Medium comes out May 7 via radical feminist record label SPINSTER. Pre-order the album here.
