The musicians behind Big Thief are nothing if not prolific. In 2019, the band released two acclaimed albums, U.F.O.F. and Two Hands. Last year, singer and songwriter Adrianne Lenker released an additional two solo albums on 4AD, Songs and Instrumentals, while co-songwriter Buck Meek released his second solo album Two Saviors early this year.

Now the bandmates have announced parallel solo tours for the fall that will bring them to the Philadelphia region within a week of one another.

Meek is up first, headlining Johnny Brenda’s on Saturday, November 6th with California four-piece Kidi Band opening. The following Friday, Lenker swings through Delaware, performing at Arden Gild Hall on Friday, November 12th.

Announcements for concerts at this point are subject to change due to uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Though neither venue has information on COVID-19 safety plans on their website just yet, Barrett Lindgren of Johnny Brenda’s spoke about it in this interview with The Key about the return of concerts:

It’s tough to say at this point, since we still don’t know where things will be at in the fall. All of our protocol will have to be informed by local, state and national guidelines that we just haven’t seen yet.

Tickets for Buck Meek at Johnny Brenda’s go on sale this Friday, April 30th at 10 a.m., and more information can be found here; tickets for Adrianne Lenker at Arden Gild Hall are on sale now, and are available here. Listen to music from both artists below.
