Just before the Coronavirus pandemic sent the world spiraling into lockdown, Soccer Mommy — the project of Nashville singer-songwriter Sophia Regina Allison — released Color Theory, their terrific second album on Lomo Vista Records, and like so many other artists in their position were unable to support it on tour.

That run has been rescheduled to this fall, and it brings Soccer Mommy to Philadelphia on September 18th for a Union Transfer show with Squirrel Flower. (Coincidentally, Squirrel Flower was one of the final live shows we covered before lockdown; read Sam Kesler’s review here.)

Tickets are on sale this Friday, April 30th, at noon, via Union Transfer’s website; if you originally bought tickets to the band’s March 31, 2020 concert, they will be honored, per the venue’s website — “You do not need to do anything different — just show up with your ticket(s) on the night of the show! Any questions, please e-mail us direct at [email protected].”

Announcements for concerts at this point are subject to change due to uncertainty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and though Union Transfer does not have any specific COVID safety information on their website yet, promoter Sean Agnew told us in this week’s story about the return of concerts that “We will almost certainly enforce masks for the foreseeable future. Lots of states are talking about showing proof of a vaccine OR taking a same day COVID test to attend a concert. We aren’t quite sure yet what to expect, but whatever the state and city decides — we’ll be sure to follow along and welcome everyone back in a SAFE manner.”
