Singer-songwriter Arlo Parks appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Chillest Show to perform a moving cover of “Ivy,” a song from Frank Ocean’s acclaimed Blonde album.

Parks was XPN’s Artist To Watch in December, and her profile in 2021 is only expanding with the release of her acclaimed album Collapsed in Sunbeams. She plays a sold-out concert at The Foundry of The Fillmore Philly on October 23rd, and is also on the lineup of Delaware’s Firefly Music Festival a month earlier.

For her version of the song, Parks sits at a grand piano, playing rising and falling scales with her fingertips and using her dulcet voice to deliver Ocean’s tender-hearted account of mistakes in love, of hurt and healing: “We both know that deep down, the feeling still deep down is good.”
