City Winery opens up their patio for live music happy hours curated by REC Philly
As one of the newest venues in Philadelphia, City Winery only got a few scant months of shows in before the live music lockdown of COVID. Now that the city and the concert industry is tentatively moving towards re-opening, they’ve begun to offer outdoor shows in partnership with another space whose grand opening was thwarted by the pandemic: REC Philly.
Last weekend, City Winery began having live music on its outdoor patio in partnership with REC Philly, whose home at 9th and Market is right around the corner. The shows take place on Fridays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Opening weekend featured singer-songwriter Tim Ward Jr. and Seraiah Nicole, while this weekend kicks off with a Friday show by Al Zamora. Check out the rest of their May schedule below and keep an eye on City Winery’s Facebook page to find out their plans for June and beyond.
