Birds of Maya will celebrate the release of Valdez at Sunflower Philly

Philly three-piece Birds of Maya are many things: thrashers, shredders, heavy psychedelic trippers, badass blues jammers. They’re also a much-loved band returning this year with their first album since 2014 — Valdez, out June 25th on Drag City — and today they announced the release party.

Birds of Maya will play Kensignton’s beautiful outdoor space Sunflower Philly on Thursday, June 24th, and tickets to the 21+ show can be found here. They’ll be joined by Vapour Theories, the project of Bardo Pond’s Gibbons brothers, John and Michael.
