Todd Rundgren will play A Wizard, A True Star for two nights at The Fillmore in October

Singer-songwriter, producer, and general Philly hero Todd Rundgren is going on tour this fall to celebrate his 1973 album A Wizard, A True Star. The two-month, cross-country run includes two nights at The Fillmore Philly on October 11th and 12th, with Rundgren performing Side A on night one and Side B on night two, with an assortment of hits and fan faves from across his catalog each night.

Writing about his favorite Todd Rundgren albums in 2013, XPN’s Bruce Warren called A Wizard, A True Star “a glorious mess of musical genius” and “essential for its experimentation and vision and blending of styles and – for its time – innovative use of the studio and technology.” One of the album’s highlights is a ten-minute medley of R&B / soul hits — “Im so Proud / Ooh Baby Baby / La La Means I Love You / Cool Jerk.”
