Long-running Philly DJ Dave P and his Making Time cohorts have spent the past two decades taking the energy of jam-packed club nights to all manner of non-club locations — from an airplane shaped pool in suburban New Jersey to the naval yards in South Philly to, now, a boat parked on the Delaware River.

For their first post-COVID event last month, Making Time brought a party headlined by Avalon Emerson to The Moshulu, the nautical restaurant and event space just south of Spruce Street Harbor Park. After an eventful and exciting night, Dave P is making a return to the spot on Saturday, July 3rd for the “You’re Welcome, America” throwdown.

The show also features co-mixmasters DJ Tennis and DJ Holographic on the open-air outdoor deck, as well as Merloh along with Gee Dee in the chill-out deck, and visuals from long running collaborators Klip Collective throughout. Advance tickets are available here.

Philly musician and photographer Yeho Bostick was in the house last month at Moshulu, and captured the party extensively on his Instagram. Check out scenes and sounds from the party below.
