Saleka will play an autumn residency in New York, D.C., and in Philly at World Cafe Live
R&B singer-songwriter Saleka released a breathtaking run of singles over the past year — beginning in September of 2020 with “Clarity,” a suave tune with a music video shot in Ortlieb’s during lockdown — and today she announced a three-city residency series happening in New York, Washington D.C., and her hometown of Philadelphia.
The run kicks off October 13th at World Cafe Live, where Saleka will also perform November 17th, and December 8th. She’ll play corresponding gigs at Rockwood Music Hall in New York on October 14th, November 18th, and December 9th, and at Songbyrd in D.C. on October 17th, November 19th, and December 10th. Information on all shows can be found at her website.
Saleka also released a new slow-burning solo piano single called “Remain” as part of the motion picture soundtrack to Old, the latest from her father, director M. Night Shyamalan. Take a listen to that and watch the “Clarity” video below.
