Made In America Day One: Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, Young Thug, a Meek Mill surprise and more
Saturday was the return of Jay-Z’s Made In America festival, bringing a packed day of hip-hop, pop, EDM and more to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. In addition to this year’s day one headliners Lil Baby and Megan Thee Stallion, the crowd was treated to surprise performances by Philly stars Meek Mill — who played a pop-up set on the Rocky Stage after Megan Thee Stallion wrapped — and Lil Uzi Vert — who came out onstage during a headlining performance by Lil Baby.
The day also featured standout performances by Young Thug — who took the Liberty Stage in the early evening decked out in a dazzling bright pink ensemble, then changed clothes mid-set to a more casual bucket-hat-and-t-shirt look — as well as sublime singer-songwriter Kehlani, magentic newcomer Coi Leray and more.
Philly photographer Morgan Smith was on the scene for The Key all day long, starting the afternoon off with Griselda, a favorite among hip-hop heads, performing on the Liberty Stage.
